TODD MITCHELL STUDIO

A fine art painter/illustrator working mostly in oils and watercolours. Todd is a proponent of the unique aesthetic luxury of the painted picture for slow and quiet contemplation. He creates allusive pictures of everyday scenes, objects, common myths and allegorical monuments.

His work has been described as “extremely subtle”,“thoughtfully obsessive”, “invoking a sense of grandeur”, and “possessing a coarse luminosity”.

Born and raised in Vancouver B.C., Canada, Todd studied painting and printmaking at the Emily Carr College of Art and Design. His work has been collected by individuals in Canada, and the U.S.
